Altenew Wondrous World Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

 My card today was made with the new Mandela Stencil Bundle...

There are 3 parts to this stencil which makes for a great pattern and endless color combos.  After adding in the blended colors, I went in with Altenew Alcohol Markers to add the detail.  I also did a little bit of orange ink around the card front just for an additional layer of color.

I die cut the sentiment out of the Tall Alpha Lowercase die set.  I used one layer of black fun foam and then another layer of teal cardstock.  The black fun foam layer just gives it a different look with a little more depth.   To finish it off, I added one enamel dot in the center of the Mandela.

Spellbinders February Club Kits Hop...

Miss You Friend {Concord and 9th}...

 Good morning, friends!  I am super excited to be a Guest at Concord and 9th this month.  They have some amazing new products and I have had so much fun making cards this last couple weeks.  I can't wait to share whats new.  Today I have a card using the new Painted Petals Turnabout Kit.

To create this card, I used the kit inks to stamp this amazing background.  This color combo is amazing!!  

The dies included are great ones to have in your stash too.  I used the stitched circle to cut out a piece of vellum, I cut the hello in white cardstock and fun foam both for a dimensional sentiment.  Next, I stamped the sentiment block and die cut those with the coordinating strip dies.  I popped them all up on the card front to finish it off.

I have a couple cards made up for today.  I watercolored.  This doesn't happen very often...but I broke out my Karin Markers and here we are!

I used my Rectangle Masking Stencil and blended in a little ink in the bottom corner and then stamped the sentiment in black ink.  After watercoloring the blooms, I die cut them and popped them up on foam tape.

The kit also comes with a mask.  I love this part bc it let me add color to the background and then leave the floral image in black and white!  Easy peasy!  I added a few clear drops and a sentiment and done!

Thanks For All You Do {Spellbinders}...

Hi friends!  I am here today with the new February Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month.  If you haven't heard of this amazing Club kit from Spellbinders, click HERE to learn more.  Keep scrolling too, for a brief overview of Hot Foiling.  It is such a fun and shiny detail to add to your cards!

 

To create this card, I grabbed some of my favorite Altenew patterned paper and added the largest frame in gold foil.  Next, I found some coordinating cardstock and added the smallest fram and the sentiment in the middle.  I cut it out with a rectangle die and popped it up.  Super easy but that foil really packs a punch!

Are you new to hot foiling?

Spellbinders has a platform called Glimmer Hot Foil System.  This platform heats up metal plates called Glimmer Plates.  These glimmer plates come in ALL different types....sentiments, florals, backgrounds, graphic details etc....and add the most gorgeous foiling detail to your cards.  And the foils?  There are LOTS of different colors to chose from!

The Glimmer Hot Foil System works great with a Platinum 6 Die Cut machine from Spellbinders but also works with other die cut machines. You can click HERE to see a compatibility chart.  

So once the platform and your glimmer plate heat up, you add in the foil and the cardstock and run in thorough your die cut machine.  Once you pull off the foil negative, the magic happens!  That foil that is set on your cardstock is just gorgeous!
