a new little challenge...

...over at the Paper Dolls blog this week is right up my alley!  It's all about Spring bling!  It's in the air right?  A whopping 79 degrees here yesterday!  I love it!  So here is my Spring bling card for this week...

This is a CASE of one of my own cards I made recently!  The background is from Clear and Simple.  It's one of 6 backgrounds that come in one set!  (Just a little plug for one of my favorite sets, Background Basics I!)  ;)  That is Slate ink from Amuse.  It's a perfect match for Smokey Shadow!  Oh and that label die is also from CSS.  Love that shape!  The sentiment set is from PTI...the name is escaping me at the moment.  And these gorgeous pink flowers from Zva.  I added a little bling in to finish!

Welcome to this week's product spotlight over at DeNami.  This week we are showcasing the adorable Large Spring Basket stamp.  I saw the image and immediately thought...banner!  Here is my creation...

I used the basket stamp and my most favorite flower stamp from DeNami, the small daisy blossom.  I added a little piece of a doily behind each and then some leaves and stickels!  Super easy!  Here is a closer look...

Color Me Orange...

(Sorry for the mess up here!  I scheduled the wrong post to go live this morning!  Oops!) :)

It's group project day over at Clear and Simple stamps!  Today's challenge?  Use orange. Each year Pantone, the leading color enthusiasts of the design industry, selects the coveted color of the year. For 2012, the lucky winner is Tangerine Tango...better known around CSS as Orange You Fabulous.  For my project today, I used CSS's Creamsicle Cardigan and their matching ink. 

If you follow my blog you know that I have said in the past...orange is hard for me!  So I was totally up to this challenge!  And I made it pretty CAS.  Here is my card...

Here I am again using that fun die from the new Banner set!  I stamped one layer with Circles Plus background and the other with the butterflies from the new Playroom background set!  

Now go and check out all the other orange creations!  I can't wait to see what the DT has for us today!

One for the guys..

I generally never make cards for guys.  I love all the bright colors and flowers and then the masculine cards just never happen.  The other day I started playing with this Smokey Shadow cardstock and then just went from there to create pretty much a "guy" card.  What do you think?

If you notice the white distressing in the background...that is from using the Linen IP as a stamp again.  I just inked it up with Fresh Snow and then put the card base on top and gently pressed down.  I used the circles from Grunge Me on the card base.  I pulled out a Project Life journaling card for the sentiment and added some layers of cardstock for that added pop of color.  

Well, I am off today to clean my house.  It is sort of a disaster.  Between my husband and I, we were gone all week last week for work so there is lots to be done.  I was in KC and stayed at the amazing Argosy Hotel and Spa.  Unfortunately,  no spa for me but everything else was incredible!  I think I need some days like those more often!  Check out this dinner...

Lobster stuffed Chicken breast, Herb crusted beef, Red potatoes, an amazing salad, Carrot cake cheesecake and an Amaretto Sour!  I am pretty sure between this, the Mexican buffet for lunch and the ginormous breakfast buffet...I weigh a couple more pounds than last week.  :)  It was worth it.

Here are my birthday creations...

This first card is a CASE of my own card from the new DeNami release.  This is the boy version!  :)  You can see that card HERE.  I love LOVE this new Chevron image!  It is so super easy to line up!  I also used the new happy birthday stamp and this adorable little rocket-ship stamp.  Such a fun font!

This next card, I used the same sentiment and added the dashed line stamp from the new Basic Borders set (which I stamped in white and you can't hardly see in my picture!)  And then a paper pieced butterfly!  These new butterflies, from the Fancy Flutters set, are so fun!  If you missed the new release, click HERE to see all the amazing new cling mount stamps!
