Altenew May 2020 Stamps/Dies/Stencils Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello!  We are hopping along today with Altenew and the latest May 2020 Release.   I have a couple projects to share today so keep scrolling.  You will also see the prizes....don't forget to leave a comment for your chance to win!  There is a full hop list too, so don't forget to stop in and leave comments along the way!

Here is my first project....

Altenew

This card uses a new favorite, Shine Like a Diamond.  This amazing background comes with several sentiments and one large sentiment, Shine.  So many possibilities with this set!

Altenew

First, I heat embossed the background stamp with white embossing powder on black cardstock.  I stamped the beautiful blooms from the new set Flowering Cistus and layered them on to the embossed background.  Last, I added in 2 sentiment strips that I made from Sentiment Strips 2.

Altenew

This next card was super simple to make!

Altenew

I used the new set called Blossom Wreath for this card.  I stamped the wreath in black ink, and then added the extra steps in different colors to create the full wreath.

Altenew

I used the Tall Alpha to add in the Hello sentiment and this finished the card off with a thin gold washi along the bottom of the card.

Thanks {Spellbinders}...

\

Spellbinders has monthly club kits that show up at your door every month!  Its like Birchbox or FabFitFun but for crafters!  So that is even better right?  Check out all the monthly clubs  by clicking HERE!

Today I am here using the May Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month and it is gorgeous!  All you need to achieve this look is a Glimmer Hot Foil System and a die cut machine.  Once you are a member of the Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Club, the plates will come to you each month!

Spellbinders

This months kit comes with the large Thanks hot foil plate, 4 sentiments and the hot foil flowers, along with several flower and leaf dies.  It is SO easy to use and absolutely beautiful.

Spellbinders

I used the Rose Gold Foil in the kit to create this Thanks background.  Then I used the Hemstitch Rectangle die to cut out around.  I love that little border of squares!  I layered the card front up onto a white card base by layering fun foam behind.  Last, I foiled up the little flower that comes in the kit and added in the leaf and petal details with colored cardstock.  I popped up each little bunch up on foam square and finished off the card with some satin sequin.

Hope you are doing well and crafting away!  Have a great day and Happy Mother's Day!

Thank you {Spellbinders}...

If you haven't seen it yet, Spellbinders released my collection of glimmer plates last month, called Effortless Greetings.  It has been such a fun process to come up with these new plates.  My goal was to have some basic elements that you can add foiling to your cards, keeping them clean and simple, or building upon them with lots of detail.

Today I am using Foiled Brushstrokes to create a quick and easy card!

Spellbinders

In order to achieve the foiled look using Glimmer Plates, you first need the Hot Foil System. This is a platform you plug in that heats up.  Once you put the foil, glimmer plate and cardstock on the platform, it heats up the plate.  You then run the platform, along with the shims it comes with, through your die cut machine.  This heat and pressure produce amazing foiled results!  I highly recommend using the Spellbinders Platinum 6 die cut machine, as they all work together beautifully.

Spellbinders

After foiling the brushstrokes using Gold Foil, I grabbed the Hemstitch Circle Dies and used the largest die to cut out the focal point of my card.  Aside from having a very handy circle die, this Hemstitch set of dies is AWESOME and worth checking out!  A great die set to add lots of detail to your cards!

Spellbinders

To finish off the card, I added the sentiment in black ink and the added one of the Stay Wild Butterfly Stickers to the front of this card.

I just love the shine that the foil creates and in such a simple way!

Thanks for coming by today.  Hope you are having a great day!

Altenew Craft-A-Flower: Lily Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello and welcome to the May Craft-A-Flower Blog Hop!  This is a new monthly subscription which will feather Altenew's gorgeous layering dies.  The first die is the Craft-A-Flower: Lily Layering Die set....

This die set is so pretty and so easy to layer up.  Check out my quick and simple card.....

Altenew

First, I added a little Pink Diamond Ink blending using the Feathered Leaves Stencil.  Next, I stamped the sentiment, from Engraved Flowers,  in the white space on the side of the card.  I used my score pal to score a 1/2" frame around the edge of the card.

Altenew

Using Altenew's Cherry Blossom and Green Meadow's Gradient Cardstock Kits, I die cut each piece of the flower, stem and leaves and layered them together.  I die cut the solid pieces again in fun foam and added them to the back of the flower before attaching it to the card.

MMH PROJECTS

Hero Arts

I used several of the adorable elements from the kit to create this card.  This adorable rainbow was easy to color and then I added a sentiment inside the card.  I tucked in the sun and then added the little heart and popped up the balloon.  Super simple with lots of color!

Hero Arts    Hero Arts

I used another rainbow image from the kit, along with some Add-on cloud dies, on this card....

Hero Arts

The kit includes 3 Karin Metallic Markers.  I used the blue marker to create a wash background on watercolor paper.  I layered up those adorable cloud dies on the card base and added a sentiment from the kit along the bottom.  I added the rainbow from the kit, along with the little heart image, and some clear drops to finish it off.

Hero Arts     Hero Arts

One of my favorite add-ons is this US Fancy Mailbox Die....

Hero Arts

I die cut the mailbox in blue and then added a tiny bit of rainbow wash.  I die cut the little envelope in white cardstock and then stamped a tiny heart.  I added it to my card front with foam tape and then finished if off with a sentiment from the main kit.
