Happy Mothers Day!

OK did you miss me?  I haven't posted in a week!  I did get a couple of emails asking where I was!  Well, I have been PTO'ing it (not to be confused with PTI'ing it!) this last week!  We had a Teacher Appreciation Spa Day for our Grade School on Monday!  It was so much fun and OH the chocolate!  (OH and I had the 12th Anniversary of my 21st birthday! hehe! And you know that is an important day!) So yes, I am still here!  Thanks for the sweet notes in my inbox!

So, I had this really sweet husband of a friend call and ask me to make her a Mother's Day card!  I won't name any names just in case she sees this!  I am excited for her to see it and hope she loves it!  It also goes along with the Paper Dolls challenge this week!  Suzanne came up with a fantastic sketch and I am so excited to dust off my stamps after a week and play!  Here is my card.....

I used Ashley Newells Ribbon technique!  So cute and easy!  Just one more fun thing to do with ribbon!  (And don't look at the big honkin' pop dot sticking out on the left side!  I posted this and fixed it right away!  NICE!)

Thanks for stopping by today!  Hope you have had a great week!  (I am going to have to get on my VERY FULL reader and check out what you have all been doing and leave you some luv!)

Gorgeous Laurie! I love the monochromatic look. Great idea to put the large sentiment panel just over the ruffled ribbon. Your friend will love it.

What a thoughtful husband! That lucky woman! This is a gorgeous card! I'm hoping for some time to craft tomorrow...I've got so many ideas running around in my mind for this sketch. Oh yeah...you're just a couple months older than me (if my late-night brain is functioning correctly!)

Laurie--First of all, I can't believe I didn't post a comment on your card...I must have missed it!! Sorry! Second, I really like how you've used InBloom as a background only and not as a focal point! And isn't that ribbon tech cool? I used it the other day for my TSG blog hop card! Have a great Mother's Day tomorrow!! :)
