Creative Explosion: Day 3
Britta and I are back today with another fun stamp set! Today we are using Lawn Fawn's Bake Me a Cake! I love the versatility of this set! You can make any size cake and there are lots of little details you can add!
So here is my card for today...
I thought it would be fun to mix with PTI's Ticket IP! And of course some polka dots!
I have one more CAS card for you today! I just stamped some of the candles from this set on some random colors and lined them up for a fun little border! Then I added some Scor-Pal and Scor-Bug detail! You can't see in the pic but I also added some Copic Spica pen to the candle flames! So much more fun IRL!
This is it for today! Don't forget to stop by Britta's blog to check out what she has with this Lawn Fawn set! If you have missed out on the first 2 posts for our Creative Explosion, click HERE for day 1 and HERE for day 2!
Thanks for coming by today! Have a great day!
That first card would make a great birthday party invitation with PTI Ticket IP detail!
ReplyDeleteGreat job - and love the ticket IP - love the simplicity of the candles on the second card and the scro-pal/bug work is the finishing touches.
ReplyDeleteThese are both so FUN, Laurie! I particularly adore the layout of the first card, SUPER!!!
ReplyDeleteOh those are super fun cards! I love both of them and they don't take much to build!! Really, really need to get a score board of some kind!
ReplyDeleteBoth great cards. I like the idea of just the candles on the second one. I will file that away in the inspiration file of my brain. :) Thanks for sharing, so glad you did a lawn fawn day!
ReplyDeleteYum yum yum! Love the background IP and the charcoal polka dots. And what a brilliant idea using the candles on their own on the second card. It makes a great guy card. :)

ReplyDeleteThese are both fantastic, Laurie! I haven't used this set in ages, so thanks for the inspiration. I especially love the clean look of the second one and those fun, glittered candles!
ReplyDeleteThese are such fun cards! Love the boldness of the pink and black card. (I may use that for my niece's party invites). And, I like how quick and easy it would be to make the second card. Maybe I'll make a few to have on hand. Thanks for all the great ideas!
ReplyDeleteSo cute Laurie! I love the embossing on the first card! And your second card just gave me an idea for a masculine card... thank you very much :) Love your new photo too :)
ReplyDeleteThese are awesome Laurie! I LOOOVE that IP on the Raspberry fizz CS! What a fun card!
ReplyDeleteTotally love your cards Laurie! Super details ;)
ReplyDeleteBake Me a Cake is such a fun set - thanks for the inspiration. Hugs, Ruth S
I really like how the ticket impression looks on your first card! The color combo is great and that is a fun cake! The CAS card at the bottom is cute too and would be a great card to use for masculine cards!
ReplyDeleteLove these cards! The layout on the first one is great. Love the colors and the embossing on the second card.
ReplyDeleteThese are so cute! I love this set, too, and need to use it more often!
ReplyDeleteLOVE all the bright, happy, bold colors, Laurie! Scrumptious!
ReplyDeleteOk, LOVE LOVE that first card! I think it turned out just stunning! That is a great layout and your use of the IP was a fantastic idea!
ReplyDeleteI have not taken the Lawn Fawn plunge but I really want to. I love how you inter-mixed companies here and your color combo is fabulous!
