MFT Hits and Highlights...

Welcome to another round of Hits and Highlights over at MFT!  Here is this months challenge....

This month, we are challenging you to create interactive cards that spin, slide, and leap!

I knew instantly how this was going to work out.  I grabbed the Leaping Slider Dies and the Once Upon a Rainbow Dies to create this card...

Print

I added a little cloud stenciling in the background.  Then I used the slider die to cut a shape that hides perfectly behind the rainbow die.  I added in the slider disc and added the sunshine image from Rain or Shine.

MFT MFT Hits and Highlights

I cut out the Once Upon a Rainbow die and the clouds to hide the slider and then popped up the panel on the card front.  I stamped the sentient and added in some sparkly hearts to finish off the card.

MFT Color Challenge 116....

These weeks colors for the MFT Color Challenge are so amazing! So springy and perfect for this time of year.

Here is my card using these 4 colors....

MFT Color Challenge

You can use any floral set to combined these colors together but I used Painted Petals to create this card.  I added the little bouquet to a scored background and then added a sentiment from Brushstroke Expressions to the bottom of the card.  To add a little extra detail, I added in some clear drops to the front of the card.

MFT Color Challenge

I hope you can play along with us this week!  Check out the MFT Blog to see all the details for this weeks challenge!

Altenew April 2019 Washi Tape Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hey there crafty friends!  I am so excited for today's hope because.....new washi.  Yay!  The new washi available now over at Altenew
is AMAZING!!  Gorgeous colors and beautiful details and guess what?!  You can use it to make the most quick and simple cards!

**Scroll down to see the video I created for the last Washi Blog hop on how to apply these large rolls of washi to a card front. **

CARDS

Check out this amazing new washi....

Altenew

To create this first card, I applied the Misty Meadows Washi tape to a full card front.  Next, I cut the card front down into 3 panels and raised them up on fun foam to add some dimension.  Next, I grabbed the Fine Alphabet dies to create the sentiment.  I found a pice of hunter green fun foam in my stash and added that behind the white card stock letters.  The little bit of dark green behind the sentiment definitely helps the sentiment to pop!

Altenew

I used 2 washi's on this next card.  Gold String Washi and Teal Shadow Washi.....

Altenew

I angled each piece and lined them up to create an angle on a full card from.  The gold lines in the new washi are amazing!  Next I used some gold cardstock to cut out the hello die to finish off the card.

Altenew

This next photo looks like a black and white photo, but this roll of washi is gorgeous!

Altenew

This one is called Botanical Rhapsody.  It has a tiny bit of gray in the floral shadows and so I kept this card super simple with a light gray cardstock hello.

Altenew

Here is a video I created for the last Altenew Washi release that shows a super quick and easy way to apply the large washi to a card front.

The Greetery Day 4...

Welcome to Day 4 of the sneak peeks for The Greetery.  I am SO excited to be joining Betsy this week to help her kick of her new company with these amazing stamps and dies.  Check out all the details for today's peeks by heading over to The Greetery Blog!

My first card uses the new sets called Katie's Cuties: Panda stamps & dies, BotaniCuts Bamboo die....

The Greetery

I masked off the background and added in some blue sky by blending in some Broken China Distress Inks.  I did a little copic grass along the bottom.  Next, I colored up the bamboo dies using some Copies and a little blending.  Last, I stamped that adorable pandas and added it, along with the sentiment, to the card front.

The Greetery

This next card was so fun to make.  I grabbed the Sentiment Suite: Thinking of You and the sentiment dies to create this card.....

The Greetery

First, I did a little ink blending a panel and then used the circle die to cut out several pieces.  I created a polka dot look and raised them up on foam tape.  Next, I stamped the sentiment on the coordinating die and added that to the card.  Last, I added in a few dew drops on the background.

The Greetery

I know the rest of the stops on this hop are going to have some show stoppers!  So here are the links to check them out....

This has been so much fun!  I am just thrilled for my sweet friend Betsy!  I can't wait to see what she has in store for the stamping world!!

I am so glad you stopped in today.  Hope you have a great day!

MFT Birthday Project Cheers to Another Year...

This month's birthday project is a fun one!  MFT has given us this challenge...

Time to celebrate another trip around the sun with a favorite beverage…coffee or tea for a birthday brunch or maybe cocktails or wine for a night on the town! For this month’s challenge, create a birthday card that includes the drink of your choice. Cheers to another year!

MFT has lots of different drink options to choose from.  Wine, Coffee and these adorable Soda bottles....

MFT Birthday Project

To create this card, I used the Wonky Stitched Squares to cut out the perfect rectangle for the bottles to be display.  I stamped the sentiment along the bottom, added some stripped pattern paper to the card base and then popped the front frame up on foam tape.  I added in the soda bottles after heat embossing those adorable labels and then I added in silver bottle tops.  Last, I die cut one of the bottle tops in silver cardstock and then added in the little happy birthday label.  I just love those dies!  They are so adorable!

MFT Birthday Project

The Birthday Project over at MFT will have a full list of the stops to make to see lots of birthday inspiration!

Thanks so much for stopping in today!  Have a great day!
