MFT Hits and Highlights....

Hello there!  How was your thanksgiving?  I hope you had a fun and safe week!  We are headed back from spending the week in Colorado with my sister.  We had an amazing time with family.  Our kids are close in age and seeing them have so much fun with cousins is the best!

I am stopping in today with another round of Hits and Highlights over at MFT.  Check out our challenge for November....

Christmas is really a full season for many of us, not a single day, so if you’re still thinking of whipping up some holiday cards, we’ve got you covered. Hits & Highlights this month is all about the bringing the feel of winter to your holiday with a cool palette featuring blues and purples…bring a little shiver of delight with wintry colors evocative of falling snow and twinkling lights.

I created a clean and simple card, just with some ink blending and some paint splatter to give that wintry feeling...

MFT Hits and Highlights

To create this card, I did some ink blending with Oxide inks to create the purply blue background.  Next, I used some white paint mixed with a little water and splattered that on the card base with a paint brush. Love that perfect effect of snow!  Next I used the slope die to create a snow hill along the bottom.  I grabbed the smallest of the little polar bears from the              stamp set and popped him up on foam tape.  I used the Speech Bubble Dies and added the sentiment to the card.  I finished it off with a tiny red heart....well...because I love tiny red hearts on all the cards!  :)

MFT Hits and Highlights

The rest of the Design Team will have more to see.  Stop over to the MFT Challenge Blog to see what they have created for today.  And don't forget to play along!

Thanks so much for stopping in.  Have a great day!
