CARDS
The main stamp set in the August My Monthly Hero set is absolutely adorable! I love the coffee images and all the sentiments. Here is my first card...
To create this card, I did a simple watercolor wash on watercolor paper for a quick and easy background. Next, I stamped and die cut 2 of the coffee cups and added a quick Copic splash of color to each cup. I know that my friends and i all take our coffee differently, so I added a lighter version and a darker version. (Mine is the one with all the cream and it ends up where I have a little coffee with my cream...haha!) I used one of the latte images with a brown ink and then on the darker coffee, I added the latte art image in white ink. Last, I stamped the sentiment off to the side and matted the whole card front in a kraft colored card stock.
When I saw this Fancy Window die, I knew it had to be a shaker card. I die cut the window in white cardstock intending to add some color but when I saw it in white....I had to keep it that way.
I created the shaker box and lined the back of it with a piece of rainbow patterned paper to make the white window details pop. I added in some fun shaker makings and then added the thank you sentiment to the little sign. I attached the shaker box to a green card base which made that white die cut shine even more.
If you are following along on the hop, your next stop is over to my sweet friend Libby's blog!
