MFT Sketch Challenge...

Are you ready for another Wednesday Sketch Challenge?  Well today at MFT, there is a brand new sketch up and its a fun one!  So many possibilities with this sketch!  This week I took it pretty literal and ran with it using the Collage Cover up to create the perfect background....

MFT Wednesday Sketch

To create this card, I found a piece of watercolor paper that I had watercolored quite some time ago and ran it though with the cover up die.  Boom!  Instant background!  I do love a quick card!

Next, I added in strip of glitter cardstock to the center piece.  And last, I added in the Blueberry hello to finish off the card.  Super easy!

MFT Wednesday Sketch

Here is this week's sketch....

Check out the MFT Challenge blog for more details.  I hope you are inspired to play along this week. I can't wait to see what you create!

Have a great day!

MFT Card Kit Release Day...

Today is the day!  The June 2018 MFT Card Kit called Birds of a Feather is available now!  I have one card using 2 dies from the kit and the hello from the free die with purchase this month....

MFT June 2018 Card Kit

To create this card, I did a little scoring on a Stone Gray card front.  I popped it up on a white card base with fun foam and then added in the Copic colored leaf dies.  I die cut the hello in white card stock and then again in fun foam.  Adding this hello to the card front, gave the sentiment some dimension.  I love the clean and simple look!

MFT Hits and Highlights...

Sharing a drink with friends is a relaxing way to catch up and share the details of your life. Bringing that feeling to your cards is easy and FUN with our collection of cocktail-themed products. Choose from exciting shaker Die-namics and pouches, trendy stamp designs and sentiments, and a vast assortment of fillers and accents to create cards you’ll say “cheers” to. Our designers have all the inspiration you need to get going!

MFT does have several adorable cocktail themed products, so I chose Martini Time to create a clean and simple, love you card!  Except....Olive You!

MFT Hits and Highlights

To create this card, I stamped and die cut this solid martin glass image.  Next, I masked off the edges of the glass and used the Sun Ray stencil to add in a little extra color and give the glass another detail.  I added in the olive and then finished it off with a tiny red glittery heart.  I stamped the sentiment on the card base and popped the glass up on foam tape.  Super clean and simple!

MFT Hits and Highlights

The rest of the MFT Design Team will have more to see today.  Just stop by the MFT blog for a list of places to visit.  So glad you came by today.  Have a great day!

MFT Card Kit Countdown day 2....

The MFT Birds of a Feather Card Kit Countdown is underway.  This newest June kit will be available tomorrow, June 26th at 8pm CST.  Until then, here is another sneak peak of the new kit....

MFT June 2018 Card Kit

To create this card, I added in some clouds in a rectangular masked off section of the card base.  I layered in some grass using Sour Apple cardstock.  I popped up the bird house which was just super easy to build.  And last, I added in the birds, the flowers and a simple sentiment to finish this card off.  To make it even more simple, I die cut all the birds and flowers out of white card stock and colored them with Copic markers.  Makes for one trip to the die cut machine and then you have several cards worth of die cuts ready to color!

CARDS

Altenew's new stamps and dies are just as stunning as they are each month but I am loving the new products I have to share with you today!

This first card showcases the new set called Ditsy Print paired with my favorite hello die in the history of ever!  :)  This set is perfect for the clean and simple stamper.  It has beautiful outlined stamps and then the solid centers making it for a quick, beautiful image.

Altenew June 2018 Release

To create this card I stamped and heat embossed the floral image from the set all over a piece of vellum.  I flipped the vellum over and on the back, I used Copics to quickly color in the flowers and leaves.  I added the hello die in white card stock to the front of the vellum panel.  On the back, I added adhesive behind the hello die and then added that panel to an aqua card base.

Altenew June 2018 Release

I am a HUGE fan of banners.  I love having them for special days at the house, for my craft room...really any occasion needs a banner!  This month Altenew has some new products that have me geeking out...perfect for making all the banners!

And with those you have this.....

June 2018 Altenew

I grabbed a rainbow of colored card stock and used the Pocked Banner Die to cut out 8 banners.  Next, I took the new background stamp called Pinstripe and put it in my Misti.  I was able to quickly stamp all 8 banners with the stripes, all perfectly even, half way covering each piece.

Next, I used white card stock and cut out the words Happy Day.  I added each letter to the banners with foam tape for some dimension.  Using white twine and white mini clothespins to string up the banners, it's now ready to hang!

Here is a close up of 2 of the panels....I adore those stripes!  This makes for a quick, clean and simple banner. And looks at those little pierced dots around the edge!  Love that the Banner dies add such a fun detail.

June 2018 Altenew

One last, easy peasy project!

Altenew June 2018 Release

To create this card I stamped the leaf images from Leaf Canopy in black ink.  I added a tiny pink dot of ink throughout the images.  I grabbed the new alphabet die called Tall Alpha....LOVE!!... and stamped the sentiment in pink ink.  I attached the white card front to a pink card base and left a tiny bit of the pink base showing on the side and top for some more color.

Print

I inked up the background in rainbow order with make up sponges and then stamped it using my Misti.  I added the panel to the card base and then added in a stack of hello's so the sentiment would be dimensional.  Last, I added some clear round drops to the front for a tiny bit of bling.

MFT June 2018 Countdown Day 1...

Hello friends!  Today is the last day of the MFT Countdown and tomorrow is the release!  Yay!  Do you have favorite picked out yet?  I do!  And a couple of them are on this card right here...

MFT June 2018 Release
This card showcases the Moroccan Mosaic Die that will be available from MFT tomorrow.  I found a fun technique from Jennifer McGuire and had to give it a shot with this die.

To create this card, I embossed the front of the card panel with the back of the die.  Right before embossing, I added white ink all of the back of the metal die, this way the white ink was embossed right along with the die.  Next, I took the white die cut and attached that right down inside.  To finish of the card, I die cut the hello die about 4 times and stacked them up.  The gray hello stand out from the white but still adds to the softness of the front of the card.  I added the front card panel onto the matching card base to finish off the card.

MFT June 2018 Release

Head on over to the MFT Blog for more details about this release.  Remember, everything you are seeing this week is available tomorrow, Tuesday, June 5th at 8pm CST.

So glad you are here today! Thanks for stopping in!

CARDS

You guys.  This kit is so cute!  If you are an ocean lover, this kit is for you.  Who am I kidding?  If you are a card maker, this kit is for you!  So many gorgeous stamps, sentiments and the add-ons?  Adorable!  I have to cards to share with you today.  This first card is a clean and simple card using the main kit stamp set....

My Monthly Hero-June 2018

To create this card, I stamped the ocean scene along the bottom of a 4" card panel.  When I stamped the darkest part of the horizon, I cut the panel at that point.  On the card base, I stamped one layer of a 2 layer cloud image and the little sail boat.  I added the ocean scene to the card with fun foam so it would be popped up.  I stamped the sentiment in Versamark on a little banner and then heat embossed it.  I did a tiny bit of stitching and then added that to the card with foam tape.

I have been on a couple cruises and stamping this amazing ocean scene made me think of being on a ship and looking out on to the horizon.  I do love the ocean!

My Monthly Hero-June 2018

This next card was super fun to make!  Of course, for me, clean and simple and anything rainbow is the way to go!

My Monthly Hero-June 2018

I heat embossed the background stamp called Beachy Bold Prints.  And then of course, next I did some ink blending to add the rainbow of colors.  I cut the panel down and coordinated it with a white panel, adding fun foam to both panels.  I laid them out and stamped the sentiment in the center with my Misti so it was nice and straight.  Then I added both panels to the card front.  I love the clean and simple and the rainbow!  And the flips flops....because I live in those!  :)

My Monthly Hero-June 2018

I hope you have enjoyed my cards today.  Check out the giveaway and the full blog hop details below.  You're next stop is over to Lydia's blog!
