NEW! Make It Market Mini Kit: Sunshine & Rainbows...

Welcome to Day 3 of Group Posts for the May Papertrey Ink Release.  Today is my favorite.  It's because this new kit is my favorite.  It's called Make it Market: Sunshine and Rainbows.  I do love all things rainbow!  :)

For this first card, I used a stencil form the kit to create that super fun background.  I started at the heart with Pure Poppy, then next blended it out with Orange Zest and finished off the sunrise with Harvest Gold...

I cut the wine bottle tag out of vellum and heat embossed parts of the sentiments in white embossing powder.

I cut the "sunshine" out of yellow fun foam and then a layer of cardstock and another layer of white adhesive label....backwards....so I would cover the top in glitter.  Next, I added in some little mini hears I cut out of the Tremendous Tags and Tiny Tags dies.

This card was created using the rainbow stencils from the kit.

I added the color of each bow, which by the way is so easy with this 2 step stencil, and then sponged in some white ink for the clouds.  I added some embossing powder in and then embossed the clouds and then added in the sentiment.  I finished the card off with some sequins.

So glad you stopped in for today's peaks.  Tomorrow the Papertrey Ink Release will be live so I hope you are ready to shop! Thanks so much for coming by today!

Summer Inspirations...

Welcome to Day 2 of groups posts for the May Papertrey Ink Release.  We have some fun new stamps to share today, so lets get started!

This first card uses 3 new sets....

IMG_3090

The first stamp I used was the background stamps from the new set called Sand Swatch.  I love these simple images that can give you the beach on any card!  Next, I stamped out 3 seashells from the new Simple Seashells. These stamps are amazing and give you such a fun layering system to give you more detail with multiple ink colors.  Last, I stamped the sentiment from Walk by Faith.  This new set is amazing!  I love the fun and simple font and all the sentiment included are beautiful!

IMG_3091

For this next card, I used a new stencil from the Sun and Surf Stencil Collection and a stamp set called Keep Swimming....

IMG_3087

First, I did some watercoloring in the background with my Peerless watercolors and the stencil.  I stamped the whale and popped him up on some foam tape.  I picked out 4 sentiments from the set and stamped them all with a fun, positive message.  Last, I added in some Rain Stones for a little extra detail.

Last, there are new additions to the Dress Up Dolls!  It's a summer addition!

IMG_3093

First, I heat embossed the gorgeous waves from the new set called What the Doodle: Waves on vellum.  I used a light blue Copic on the back of the vellum just to give it a little color.  I also added in a sentiment from Dress Up Dolls: Summer.  Last, I die cut and colored this cute little girl and gave her a fun swimming suit.  I layered up this vellum card front to a scored base to finish it off.

So that is it for today!  Head on over to Nichole's blog to see what the other girls have made up for today.  Thanks so much for coming by and I hope to see you tomorrow!

Introducing Floral Sketches & Calligraphy Classics..

I'm so excited for the new Papertrey Ink Release.  The new May stamps and dies are so much fun and we have a lot to share this month.  To get started, we have new sets to share today called Floral Sketches and Calligraphy Classics.

Here is my first card....

IMG_3101

For this card, i did a little watercoloring in the background, after heat embossing that gorgeous sentiment on the watercolor paper.  I added in the flowers, filling the centers with glossy accent and some glitter.  I layered the card front onto a piece of vellum and then on to the card base.

I made another little card using the new Floral Sketches and the Floral Flaps dies....

IMG_3104

I stamped a simple front panel and layered with gold card stock.  Then added in to the card made with the flap dies.  I created a vellum closure for the card and added in a flower image from the set....

Moments Inked Travel Planning...

Moments Inked Banner
We are on the final days of the countdown to summer vacation and with the arrival of summer brings a pretty busy summer.  Lots of kid stuff and lots of travel!  I have prepared some pages tucked inside my planner, just to help get organized.  We have 3 big trips planned so far and I am hoping to squeeze in a few more, but here is one set of very simple organizational pages for all those lists I love to make.

Untitled

There are 4 of us, so using the 3x6 post it notes works perfectly to give each of us a list of our "must haves" or "don't forgets".  I stacked up 4 notes and then washi taped them on to my clear dashboard....

Planner travel pages

Lining the large lined stamp from Posted II Stamp set works perfectly using a stamp positioner.  I was able to stamp them all quickly.

Planner travel pages

I used ones of the listed words from the Listed stamp set at the top of the packing lists.

Planner travel pages

Next, I die cut 3 pages from white card stock using the large page die from the Divided Die set.

Planner travel pages

I stamped the Listed image again on each page.  I really like to keep things simple, so I added a strip of washi on each page for a little decoration.

Planner travel pages

At the top of each page, I added a large paper clip, to attach any print outs, coupons or documents we need for each page.  I have one for Travel Info, Itinerary and Kids Activities.

Planner travel pages

And just to coordinate and block out the days on the planner itself, I have the same washi starting on the first day of vacation....

....and ending on the last day.
