XOXOXO

I am so in the Valentines mood.  If you have noticed...ha!  My last several cards have been light gray, white with a red heart.  I almost did the same again so I figured I better change it up....by leaving out the gray.  :)  Instead, I used Vellum.  And a technique I have been seeing around.  Sewing down the middle of the words....so fun, right?  The last card I saw was by Laura B...amazing!  Here is mine...

I used the end of the border die and cut 2 (out of vellum) so the X's would be perfect.  The O's were easy to trim up.  Then I stuck them down with a little adhesive and sewed down the middle.  I added the little heart by popping it up on foam.  I attached the card front to the card base with some more foam.  It's all about the foam really.  How would I make a card without the stuff?

just for you...

Hey there!  Happy Thursday!  Today I have a fun little Neat and Tangled card for you.  You can also check out the post over at the Neat and Tangled blog too!

Here is today's card...

I used a fun sentiment from the set called Just for You.  I love Danielle's handwriting.  I think I have told you that 5.459 times now.  :)  I just stamped the sentiment in white and then layered the green and vellum tags.  I sewed!!  Now that my sewing machine is nice and close!  Yay!!  I added in the wooden arrow last.  Why you ask?  Well the sentiment was crazy off centered.  Had to fix that somehow....enter wooden arrow...

Speaking of Danielle....here we are....

Isn't she adorable?

And her handwriting....have you seen her new personalized stamps?

Pretty sure I need one of these!

Ok headed to the gym.  Hope you all have a fabulous day!  It's 7 here....feels like -10.  I know its way colder in other parts of the country but this is crazy.  Stay warm out there!

A Raskog and a card.

Thought I would stop in with a card today that I made just because!  I feel like I have hardly been in my room at all lately except to organize.  I made another trip to ikea and got a couple things.  I finally got the Expedit that I have been wanting for years.  Its huge.  I had no idea how huge until it was set up and in my room.  My sweet SIL helped me and we got it all put together in about 30 minutes.  I swear that Ikea furniture is genius and makes for the most fun crafty furniture.

I won't bore you with pictures of my whole room again, but I will show you this fun new addition.  (I posted this on Instagram several days ago...so many of you have already seen this but....) I got one of those Raskog carts.  I really had no idea where I was going to put it, so once the Expedit was up, the cart was just sitting here.  I had always pictured it being perfect for my sewing machine but once I got it all set up, the sewing machine didn't fit.  So here is what happened....

I asked my husband if he thought it would work.  All this stuff goes together in a certain way so I wondered if it would even go together and stay up without sliding down.  He flipped it over for me and tightened it up and it worked!

So now, my sewing machine is mobile and right by my desk.  It is so handy because I can just wheel it over and use it and I don't have to worry about setting it up every time...which i why I never used it in the first place.

You would think that I would share a card that I actually sewed on...lol.  Instead its just another gray white and red combo....like my last post.

The stamps are from Maile's Ampersand set as well as the ampersand die.  The circle and heart are from her Trendy Tree Tops set.  I colored the little heart with an R29 Copic and the covered it in Glossy Accents.  I don't know what it is about the combo of these 2 things....but the red is fabulous and almost gets a little bit brighter with the glossy accents on top.  The stitched mat is from Lil Inkers.  Can you believe I lost the whole set of dies?  Well...for like  a day.  I dug and dug and moved and turned over things and could NOT find them.  Then I did.  Just a slight panic.

OK, so thanks for hanging in here with me today on my long winded post.  I am home today with B.  He is sick.  Last check his temp was 101.  I hate this time of year.  We need spring badly.  I watched the news and I am seeing all the snow out east and I am praying for you all as well!  Everybody stay warm!  Thanks for stopping in!

you make me smile...

I had one of those moments recently I like to call "LBMMBI".  You have those too right?  I am pretty sure we all do.  Mine happened when I saw THIS card.  Yep...."Laura Bassen made me buy it".  I seem to have those moments all the time anymore.  She is good.

So...this is what she made me buy...

I adore this camera.  And this polaroid frame.  And the sentiment.  I couldn't help but CASE her card.  :)

I took a scratch piece of white paper and covered it in adhesive.  Then I added in each piece with my Quikstick.  Then I used my Kai scissors and cut out around the edge.  I popped the camera up on foam tape.

Ok, I better get back to the game.  The Broncos are beating the Patriots...yay!  I am crafting away today and watching the game.  The kids are at my parents so its nice and quiet in  here.  :)  I love the kids but an afternoon of quiet is so nice on occasion! :)

Thanks for coming by today!  Have a great Sunday!
