CSS Release in Review..

It's an Uglies day over at Clear and Simple Stamps!  Today we are review the cute little Uglies!  I have a birthday card and matching tag to share today....

I made a CAS card, added a little Copic grass and then attached the banner, from Favor Flags, at the bottom.  I added in a "5" using the CSS Number Dies.  Using a little monster from Taglines: Uglies, I colored him in with Copics as well.

For the matching tag, I used the same polka dot paper to tie the 2 together, adding in another banner and cute little Ugly! :)

Sending Warm Wishes...

Just stopping in with a quick one today.  I'm in the mood for fall, you?  We had some amazingly gorgeous leaves in Kansas this year.  This is my favorite time of year for sure!  So here is another fall card for you!  :)

IMG_8667

I am loving this Hero Arts Envelope Background....a lot.  I've had it for quite some time and just keep reaching for it.  The leaf is from a CTMH set called Many Thanks.  I've had it for awhile too and I just love the leaves.  I stamped this one with Pumpkin Spice Versa-magic and the went around the edges of the stamp in Red Brick Versa-magic.  After I didn't get a complete stamped image, I went to stamp another one and then decided I liked the distressed look of this one.  I went ahead and cut it out, added some twine to the stem and the attached it to the card front with foam tape.  I tipped up the edges of the leaf for a little dimension.  I had to add bling and of course that sentiment, from Tami Mayberry's set, Simple Snowflakes.

My husband took the kids out for awhile so I have the house to myself.  Silence is bliss.  That's all I have to say about that.  ;)

Hope you've had a great Sunday!  Thanks for stopping in!

CSS in Review...

Stopping in with some random cards, made with the latest Collection...Collection 5 over at Clear and Simple Stamps.  Let's get started...

This first card uses the new Cloudy Day set and Cloudy Day Sentiments.  I also added in a little heart from the Wrap-A-Round set.

For this next card, I cut out 2 die cuts from the Clouds Combo and then stamped the gingham clouds onto the dies.  I added in a sentiment from Cloudy Day Sentiments.

This next card uses the Rounded Square dies, Leaflets and a sentiment from Trinket Sentiments.  I stamped each leaf in a solid color and then added in a little color with another ink pad, on the edges of the leaves.

I made a little snow drift on the next card...

I used the cloud borders to make some snow.  Then I added the rain snow boots from the Spring set. I added in some polka dots and then flocked the tops of the boots to give them more of a snow boot look.

Here are the DT links plus an amazing Guest Designer! ;)

Thanks for stopping in!  Have a great Sunday!

Retro Sketches...

Happy Saturday!  I hope you are all doing well!  I am off for a day of well needed shopping.  It's nice to get away to a town where they actually have stuff I need.  Unfortunately, its a bit of a drive but that's ok!  I am up for a road trip!  I need one that ends up at a beach somewhere but that won't happen in Kansas.  :)

Here is my card for today's Retro Sketch...I think I stretched it a little but I can still see the original...sort of.  ;)  Here is my card...

I made a sunburst with my Cameo and then added in a little CSS cloud.  The sentiment is from Simon Says Apothecary Labels.

Here is this week's sketch from my cutie friend Suzanne...

CAS(E) this sketch...

I am dragging this morning. Are you?  It was a late night.  I am happy to say that I didn't eat any of my kids candy.  I really wanted to but I left that up to my husband.  Every time I looked at him, he was eating something.  And he's skinny too.  No fair.  So here I am trying with all my will power....which I normally have none...and I succeeded in having one mini size Butterfinger last night...and that is it.  Now its a new day and there are 2 buckets of candy in the other room.  I do hear the snickers calling.  But my goal is to ignore it.  Let's see how long I can manage.  I will let you know how it goes.  It can be an accountability thing right?  :)

On to my card....

This card is based on the sketch below by the lovely Lisa.  I love these CAS sketches each week!  I used CAS-ual Friday Stamp set called Big Thanks.  I added some black leaves and rolled flowers and of course, some bling.  Here is this weeks sketch....

Check out the CAS(E) this sketch blog to see all of the DT creations.  I am so glad you came by today and I hope you had a fun nigh last night.  We had a Trunk or Treat at church.  I sat in the back of my car and passed out candy and asked Bible trivia.  It was so cute to see all the little people dressed up and answering questions about their favorite bible stories.

Thanks so much for coming by today!  Have a great day!
