Sew Lovely 2S4Y

Edit: So happy to say that my card made the top 10 over at 2s4y!  Thank you so much for chosing my card!!  I am so excited!

I thought I would sit down to create something today during nap time and immediately found the new sketch on 2 Sketches 4 You!  Love it this week!  Here is today's sketch....

I instantly thought of Lawn Fawn for some reason and I just had to use the dress form from Sew Lovely!

I used the flowers from the same set to make my own background paper!  Since I am Copically challenged this week I pulled out my Prismas and OMS to color!  I also made my own ribbon ruffle!  I took 1 inch white grosgrain, stitched down the middle and pulled the thread through until I had a nice affect!  Super easy!

The colors in my photo didn't turn out right!  IRL the dress, buttons and background paper are a perfect match!  Other than that, I thought it turned out to be a pretty fun card!  I would love to hear what you think!

OH and I added the blog "Follower" tab on the side bar!  I would love to check out your blog!  If you would like to become a "follower" I can come and check your blog out too!

Thanks for stopping by!

Thank You

Stoppin' in with a CAS card today! While shopping in Wichita, I found an awesome new scrapbook store called Frozen in Time!  They have the cutest, trendiest stuff!  I have had to stop in each time I go to town!  Yesterday, I found this adorable stamp from Kaiser Craft called Tea at Elsie's.

I immediately fell in love with that medallion image and so it had to go in my cart!  :)

So that is all I have for today!  Hope you are all doing well!  Thanks for coming by!

With Gratitude...

So I am playing with the copics again! They still really freak me out.  I just can't figure them out.  My friend Jen and I took a class too.  Well, we learned more "about" them then we did the coloring aspect so maybe that doesn't count.  So here are two more small attempts!  In real life it doesn't look too bad but now that I have them posted my blending doesn't look the best!  I have a goal to keep trying though!  Not gonna quit!  :)

And another card, same but different colors...

Hope you 4th weekend went great!  It has rained here now for 40 days and 40 nights!  OK, not really but we did get 6+ inches in less that 48 hours!  You really need a boat to get anywhere in Kansas at the moment!  I think I can hear it raining AGAIN now!  Talk about soggy!!

Celebrate today!

Stoppin' in with a quick 4th of July card!  I haven't inked up this set yet and I actually had some time today so I thought what better set could I pull out?

It is raining today.  I don't mean a little sprinkle either.  I mean torrential rain.  Our yard is flooded.  Seriously.  Good thing we don't have a show to see tonight because it would be cancelled for sure.  Hopefully it stops a little so we can play with fireworks here at home!

Hope you are all having a safe and fabulous 4th!  See you soon!

You're a Hoot!

Because life is CRAZY busy right now, I thought I would stop in a post a card I made a couple weeks ago!  We finally finished T-Ball and swimming lessons.  Now we are on to Soccer camp, going to the pool as often as we can, road trips here and there....oh my!  I was just telling a friend I need a vacation from summer vacation!  I haven't had time to sit down and make something forEVER now.  But I am  having more fun with my kids!  They come first for sure!  Hopefully I might be able to find a little crafty time today!  Oh and not to mention my google reader.....its over 500 new posts!  I am sure I have LOTS of comments to leave!

OK, so this one uses a cute little owl set I found at Michael's!  It's one of those cling sets that is like $2 dollars-ish.  I saw it and immediately knew it had to have an argyle tummy!

I popped him all up so he is pretty 3d!

Well I appreciate you stopping by today!  I know I need to come see your blog and leave you some love too!  Can't wait to see what I am missing out on in my reader!  Hope you all have a great 4th!
