If you haven't seen it yet, Spellbinders released my collection of glimmer plates last month, called Effortless Greetings. It has been such a fun process to come up with these new plates. My goal was to have some basic elements that you can add foiling to your cards, keeping them clean and simple, or building upon them with lots of detail.
Today I am using Foiled Brushstrokes to create a quick and easy card!
In order to achieve the foiled look using Glimmer Plates, you first need the Hot Foil System. This is a platform you plug in that heats up. Once you put the foil, glimmer plate and cardstock on the platform, it heats up the plate. You then run the platform, along with the shims it comes with, through your die cut machine. This heat and pressure produce amazing foiled results! I highly recommend using the Spellbinders Platinum 6 die cut machine, as they all work together beautifully.
After foiling the brushstrokes using Gold Foil, I grabbed the Hemstitch Circle Dies and used the largest die to cut out the focal point of my card. Aside from having a very handy circle die, this Hemstitch set of dies is AWESOME and worth checking out! A great die set to add lots of detail to your cards!
To finish off the card, I added the sentiment in black ink and the added one of the Stay Wild Butterfly Stickers to the front of this card.
I just love the shine that the foil creates and in such a simple way!
Thanks for coming by today. Hope you are having a great day!
