I love MFT's Birthday Project Challenge. I think after all these years, birthday cards are the ones that I don't make enough of. So this challenge gives me a chance to create fun cards for my stash.
Check out this week's challenge...
While some surprises are less-than-welcome, a birthday surprise is definitely an exception. If the birthday boy or girl isn’t the surprise party type, crafting a card that features a peek-a-boo element is a perfect compromise. With a variety of Die-namics options — from flip-up windows to interactive wheels, you’re sure to come up with the perfect peek-a-boo design for this month’s Birthday Project challenge.
I knew exactly what I wanted to make with the new Slider Surprise die....a rainbow front of course!
I chose a light aqua for the slider portion of my card and then adhered it to a white card base. This Slider Surprise might just be the easiest interactive card to make. Super quick too! I added a white panel across the pop up portion to anchor the rainbow and then added it in with the clouds.
I popped up one tiny heart in the center. The interactive label set is a must have for these types of cards. I added the "pull" in the top center and then added in a sentiment from the Sweet Sentiments.
Its the perfect sentiment for a little birthday surprise!
It was so easy to slide the coffee card right under the slider portion.
I hope you get a chance to make an interactive birthday card too! Head on over to the MFT Blog to learn more about today's challenge and to see more inspiration from the team.
Thanks so much for coming by today!
