PTI Release in Review....

Wrapping up the March Papertrey Ink Release with a little review!  I have just a few more cards to share using the new goodies from this release.

First up, What the Doodle: Feather....

March 2016 Papertrey Ink

I heat embossed the images on the watercolor paper and then added in watercolor with a small round brush.  I even did some blending!

I heat embossed the sentiment on 2 banners and then added in sequins to finish it off.

For this next card, I used Bloomin' Cute and Keep it Simple: Encouragement....

I did a very light watercolor wash in the background and then added in the stamped flowers to the front of the wash.  I added in the sentiment last along with some rain drops to complete the card.

This next card showcases the Ombre Birthday and Best Birthday dies...

March 2016 Papertrey Ink

I did some ink blending in the background for the grass and sky, after heat embossing the ombre sentiments along the side.  I added in the vellum balloons last and finished it off with a tiny red heart.

The last card was created with the Inspired: Lord stamps and dies....

March 2016 Papertrey Ink

I have been practicing watercoloring for the past couple weeks.  Keeping the good ones, trashing the not so good ones.  This background was a keeper.  I added the black die cut to the card and then stamped the rest of the sentiment around it.  I popped the whole card front up on fun foam to give the card some dimension.

Have a great day!

  1. As a rule, I am not a feather fanatic, but I really loved your feathers!! They did not look like bird feathers; they were fantastical and fun!

  9. Laurie!!! Aaaaaaaah! I am in love!! I *adore* what you did with Bloomin' Cute. The colors remind me of Mary Engelbreit - so fun and happy; but there is something about it that makes me think of Kathy Davis' designs, too. I love it!!!!! Your feather card made me catch my breath, too. Love, love!!

  16. Time and time again you blow me away with your incredible cards! Loved all of these, and wanted to CASE each one. In the end I chose to CASE your floral bouquet...you are the best at those. PS I love that you are trying the watercoloring thing. I haven't had the courage to dabble much, but seeing your lovely results and reading that even someone like you doesn't produce perfect results every time makes me want to give it a go. :)
