2016 Seasons Giving Blog Hop...

2015 was such a fun year and at the same time I am wondering where it went.  Time flies so quickly anymore!  Today, I am getting together with a bunch of friends to bring this fun Seasons Giving Blog hop your way.  This month marks 8 1/2 years of blogging.  I have been honored with so many fun opportunities over the years, but my most favorite part are my crafty friends and loyal readers.  I appreciate all of you and am so lucky to count so many of you as friends.

MFT Release Countdown...

I am so excited to continue on into 2016 on the My Favorite Things Design Team!  Today is the first day of peeks for the January release.  :)  I have a CAS little Valentines gift bag to share with you, featuring the new set called So Much Love and the Tag Builder Blueprints 5.  

The tags in this die set, along with all of the fun added in detail dies are AMAZING!  The stamp set works perfectly with the banner dies and tags and is just so much fun!

2016 Moments Inked Planner Review...

Hello there, Planner friends!  Today, I have something fun to share.  Papertrey Ink has released their 2016 planner and I am excited to give you some thoughts about it.  I know at this point, you have seen lots of pics and some video and heard lots of details. so I thought I would just stop in with my top 5 favorite new planner details.

1.  The new spiral binding.  

I definitely could add a couple points to #1.  I do LOVE the new covers.  They are so gorgeous and I know it will be hard to pick.  I also love that the planner itself is thinner.  Its such a great size at 7x5 and will fit perfectly in my bag.

2.  The Color Guide inside the cover....



This page will be such a help when it comes to all the dashboard making and color matching to go throughout the year.  LOVE that Nichole outlined it all in one spot for us.

3.  The dies for the Spiral Binding from last year still work with the new system.  I love love the Listed and Posed sets and can't wait to use them this year.

ps....i know this is the binder in this photo as I talk about the spiral die cuts....opps.



4.  The new white post it notes.



I love that everything matches.  And when you put a neon yellow post it down?  Well, ya know!  The white keeps everything nice and clean.  And of course, they go perfectly with the Posted Stamp set.  :)

5.  The new daily column layout...



I was definitely used to the "morning, afternoon and evening" sections, but this new lined column is fabulous!  I love a good list!

Make it Monday...

Welcome to this weeks Papertrey Ink Make it Monday!  I hope you will stop over to Nichole's blog and play along.

I made a card this last week using the Fresh Floral Wrap Ups set and had many comments and emails about how I colored the flowers.  I have a couple photos here and the video on how I used Colored Pencils and Gamsol to add in some shading.

I hope this help you dust off your colored pencils and OMS like I did or maybe it is even a new technique for you to try.  Pull out any floral stamp set and give it a shot.  If you don't have any OMS, just pull out the colored pencils and do some blending.  Here is my video...

AMAZING!

How was your Christmas day?  So good I hope!  I can't believe that it was here and gone already.  Now my kids are on the count down to Spring Break.  :)  I have had a little crafty time this last week and thought I would stop in and share.  

I adore this Amazing stamp set and die from MFT....

I sponged in a rainbow of colors using the Circle Burst stencil and then did a little scoring on the front of the card.  I added in the sentiments in black and popped up the front panel with fun foam on a white card base.  And done!


I have been cleaning today like crazy.  This place is a wrapping paper mess, toy mess and we are all in a food coma.  So much fun though and so many memories made.  Hope you had a great day yesterday too!

Have you seen the newest Simon Release?  Its up and ready to shop!  You can click HERE to see the entire release.

I do have a card to share with you first before you head to shop!  This card uses the new heart die called Bramble Heart.  It is a gorgeous intricate die.  I actually cut some of the branches out to create this CAS card...

I took some adorable Pretty Pink Posh Heart Sequins and added them onto the branches for a pop of color.  I grabbed the Summer Garden set and stamped a sentiment, perfectly placed with my Misti.  Last, I popped the front panel up on my card base with some white fun foam.  You can find all of these products linked below.
