We are snowed in today. Well by the time you read this today will be yesterday. It was 7 degrees...but the weather channel said "Feels like -7". I know it's way colder in other parts of the country...but hey. I am a wimp. I didn't step foot outside all day. I did, however, have some time to play with the March Simon Says kit again. You can tell I am wishing for sunshine...
I just LOVE this sunshine stamp. So cute! I stamped the sun in Simon Says Sunrise ink onto the Sunrise card stock. I used the tiny little "hello" sentiment in the middle and then covered the stamped part, in Star Dust Stickles. Can you see the sparkle?
I matted the sun in some vellum and then added in a scrap of that gorgeous Lawn Fawn striped paper. All I had left was a 1 1/4" x 4 3/4" piece so I built the whole card around that one scrap. Because I love the stripes so much. I was going to make this a little white card base card, but then found this new color from Simon Says called Audrey Blue...I knew I needed to add it in. LOVE that new paper! So I rounded the corners of the white focal point and popped it up on foam tape layering it on to the Audrey Blue Cardstock.
Let's talk card stock for a minute...this new stuff from SSS is amazing. It is 100# paper. I am a paper nerd, as I am sure many of you are, so you know what I am talking about here. It is really gorgeous! They have 5 new colors that just came out so you need to go check them out. Click HERE for the newest colors! :) I promise I am not trying to enable. Really. ;)
Here is a picture of the whole March Kit..

Alright. By this time tomorrow, when this post goes live, I will be braving the cold to head to the gym. Wish me luck. The ice under the 5" of snow makes it even more enjoyable to go out! :)
Please stay warm and have a great day!
