I have some new news. Maybe you've already seen it. I'm kinda freaking out a little. Here is a little story...
So, I'm on the treadmill the other day and figured I would check my email. (Obviously not going that fast but don't tell anyone.) I started skimming through and briefly saw an email saying Papertrey Ink. When I first saw it, I thought it was a newsletter. So I scrolled. Then I gasped....pretty much fell off the treadmill, quickly regained my footing and then attempted to scroll back up to find what I had just skimmed past. (Do you have a good visual? Go ahead and laugh.)
The email was from Nichole Heady....asking me to join the Papertrey Ink Design Team. WHAT? Me? NO way. I emailed her back to tell her YES and also to share with her, my reaction when I saw her email...
First, I gasped. (Insert close call with the treadmill story) Then I laughed out of nervousness. Next, I checked to see if this wasn't spam....or a joke. hehe! Then I screamed, called my husband and started blubbering to him like a fool. Really? Me?!
I had to process all of this and still am, really. But I also knew that with a spot opening on the DT, that meant someone amazing would be leaving. Then I found out it was Cristina. She and I said years ago, we were stamping soul mates. She is such an amazing person and so talented. I am incredibly proud of her and so happy for her new adventure but so sad to see her go. Not to mention, incredibly nervous and pretty much terrified because there is NO way I will ever come close to filling those talented shoes of hers!
I am extremely excited to be joining the girls at PTI. They are all so talented and bring such amazing inspiration each month. I hope I can show up with half the creativity they bring! I know I will learn a lot from them! I want to say thank you to Nichole for this hugely awesome invitation! Definitely a dream come true.
