I have made some serious Christmas cards this year already. This doesn't normally happen. All of this Simon Says Christmas stuff is just too fun! I have another card to share today using a gorgeous snowflake die. This card was inspired by Cristina. She has some amazing red and kraft stripes going on with an adorable white tree in THIS card.
Here is my card...
I used a new-to-me stamp from Impression Obsession, called Thick Stripes. I love it because its one stamp and covers all. I inked it up with some SU Real Red and didn't press down super hard....I wanted it to have a little rustic look going on. Then I matted it with some PTI Ripe Avocado. I added in the Simon Says Snowflake and covered it in Wink of Stella...FUN!
You might not be able to see but, I added in a corner rounded insert with the sentiment, just for a little more decoration.

So that is it for today. How are your Christmas cards coming along? Do you send a bunch out? Or just a few? I think I will be mailing some for the first time in a few years. I am usually a Shutterfly photo card girl...crazy right? :)
I wanted to add a little note in today too. I am in the process of making Facebook a little more private. I have a page for craft stuff if you would like to visit me there. The link is on the sidebar. I hate the thought of "unfriending" someone....its sounds so sad and I hate the thought of hurting anyones feelings, but I feel like its important for me to separate stuff. I love all my crafty friends and still feel like its the most fun thing to ever come out of this hobby! I am lucky to have such great blogging friends! :)
Thanks for stopping in today and thanks for listening! Hugs!!

ReplyDeleteAnother gorgeous card, Laurie! I love how you showcased the 'Eliza' snowflake with your hand stamped background and the sentiment is so elegant and perfect for your card!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for stopping by my blog and leaving such kind words! I have an old Silhouette, but it's not compatible with my new pc/windows 8...so a Cameo is on my wishlist from Santa :-)
This is a super snowflake, pretty card Laurie!
ReplyDeleteReally, really lovely. Love the red stripes on the kraft, then backed by the green. The gorgeous snowflake just pops. Beautiful. Bev
