Let's Eat Cake!

You may not know this about me.  But I love cake.  A lot.  So when I found out this blog hop theme....I was in.  For sure. :)

I am so happy to help celebrate, my sweet friend Danielle's, 1 year in business.  I have a card made up today for a sweet little friend we know and it was the the perfect chance to use my Neat and Tangled stamps....
IMG_0015.jpg

I cut this card using a cake card image from the Silhouette Store.  First, I cut the cake, candle and flames all in white cardstock.  This I cut the cake out of craft and the icing out of Berry Sorbet.  I stamped Happy, from Everyday Circles, using Melon from Fresh Ink.  I stamped the chevrons from the set Little Tangles in Versamark on the cake base for some added decoration.  I laid the stamp down and curved it along the base of the card so it would go with the edge of the cake.

Here are some quick photos of how I made the candles...

I kept the cut outs on the cameo mat, and colored them in....

Then I popped them out and put them together....

Saves so much time and paper this way!

So glad you could come by today!  Stop and check out what the other girls have created for today's "Lets Eat Cake" theme!
