Chalkboard Tags

Today is the second to the last post over at Precious Remembrance blog.  I am having so much fun with the Christmas Stamp set, so I had to give the chalkboard stamping thing a try.  I keep seeing some pretty fun examples out there in blog land so I thought these tags would be a fun first attempt.  I usually have a hard time with making a mess...this is why misting is so hard for me....so this chalk look, took just a little doing.  Or at least 3 attempts.  :)  Here is the final try....

I cut out 3 tags and sponged them with white ink and after I had that part right (enter 3 attempts), I stamped the sentiment last.  I added a little white cardstock and fun striped washi tape on the bottom...yes that is my favorite stuff!  And then added in some holly I cut out with my Cameo.  Finishing the tags off, I used some white twine and some red bling for the berries.  I think these will be so cut with my gifts under the tree!  I have some kraft paper that will look great paired up with these tags.

Are you all ready for Christmas?  We got lots of shopping done this weekend.  Now comes the wrapping part!  Hoping to get everything finished up this week.  We are having company for about 2 weeks....so this busy time of year is about to get busier!  It's so much fun!

Thanks so much for stopping in today!

  7. Laurie...I left a comment over at PR...REALLY love these!! I would be very interested to know which white ink you use...I don't yet have one that performs like I think it should and have been looking for a good one (tired of wasting money on ones that don't work!!). Mine work fine for edging but not for stamping. I'd love some input if you have time! Great tags, and I love your card on the previous post and the 10 min. dash card...both are SUPER CUTE!

  11. I LOVE these! I've been wanting to play with the chalkboard look but everything I have seen has multiple stamps and fonts and looks WAY too complicated. You get the same look and so simply!!
