Hope you are all having a great Monday morning so far! I am sitting down right quick while my 2nd grader is getting ready to get on the bus. Trying to give her more responsibility is a hard one when I want to do everything for her....so it gets done...and done right. I just have to breathe and smile at her "cute" hairdo she did all by herself. :) Please tell me I am not the only one! lol
Ok, so here is my card for today...
I made this after seeing the Tool blog hop over at Papercrafts. Some of the girls made tags using punches and so I had to give it a try too. This is a border punch by EK Success and it was so easy to do. I just lined it up on either side using the lines on the punch and then trimmed a little off the side. I added the frame from MFT, after stamping a sentiment background from PTI's Tea for Two set. Then the cute little tea pot, stamped in Dark Chocolate. I thought it needed a little more so I added the polka dot ribbon and some silver pearls. I had a hard time because I didn't stamp an actual sentiment but then thought...maybe I can go without for once! I think the tea pot says it all and really for any occasion!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful card and um I'm not familiar with that border punch! Since collecting dies, I rarely use any of my punches! Maybe I'll have to revisit my punch drawers!

ReplyDeleteI am right there with you in trying not to be a perfectionist when it comes to getting my kids ready for school. My daughter loves to pick out her own clothes, and I've come to admire her unique fashion sense and just let it go if she decides to wear bold florals and stripes together. *giggle*

Your card is so sweet and so is the story of you, just smiling about your daughters hair that you did not help with, I remember those day like they were yesterday. Keep on smiling. I leave off the sentiment most of the time.

ReplyDeleteI love this little card...and the fact that you left off a sentiment means you can always add one if you find it works perfectly for something you're needing at the last minute.
ReplyDeleteMy daughters (7 and 8 1/2) still let me do their hair every morning. They do the brushing, I put in the headband. I dread the day when they no longer let me do their hair (as I really do enjoy those few moments together in the morning).
