I can't believe its been a week since my last post! And it's probably been longer than that since I actually made something! The last time I was here, I shared that my father in law was in the hospital. Sadly, he passed away this last week. It has been a blur for the most part but hopefully things will start getting back to normal. I was super excited to get the news the other day that one of my cards is going to be published! That was definitely a bright spot in the week! I thought I would stop in right quick and share a reject....but I am not supposed to call them that....right Michele? She says NO card is a reject! :)
This card is so fitting today! My husband has been telling me stories about his dad and really every time we end up laughing through the tears! Laughter is just the best medicine!
I hope that you are all doing well! Are you ready for Christmas? I am not. I must bust a move and get some shopping done! As far as Christmas cards this year? Yeah that's a no-go. I am thinking of maybe sending New Year cards. Maybe. :)
Hope you are having a warm and happy Sunday! Thanks so much for coming by!
I'm very sorry to hear about your father-in-law. Blessings to your family. Great card
ReplyDeleteSorry for your loss Miss Lady!!! I do love this card and congrats on getting published!!! I believe you saw those two cards that I designed in Archivers?? Yep....those cards will be published....you might just be good luck!!!! Hope all is well and congrats to ya again....yay!!!!

ReplyDeleteFabulous card!!
ReplyDeleteso sorry to hear about your father in law...glad to hear you and your dh have funny, sweet memories to make this time a bit cheerful. LOVE your card...not a reject in my books...I sometimes laugh at the ones they do pick, rarely a favourite!! LOL I've got some Christmas cards made for challenges and some from last year, but with the move into the new house...I am a little less motivated. I like the idea of New Year's cards...definitely not to lost in the crowd of Christmas cards...how about Valentine's cards? That surely would be a surprise :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear about your father-in-law. I'm glad that you and your husband can share happy memories. I wouldn't worry about New Year's cards. That is what I shoot for! I've received Ground hog Day cards from a friend who was really late one year. I love this card--I can't believe it wasn't published. What do they know?
ReplyDeleteOh Laurie I'm so sorry to hear about your FIL...
ReplyDeleteplease know that you and your family are in my prayers.
And laughter is the best medicine.
I've had personal loss and even though it's hard...
remembering them through stories and laughter...
through laughter and tears...
"laughter through tears is my favorite emotion"...
starts the healing.
And I'm so glad that your husband and you can find that together.
And your card isn't a reject...
I think it's gorgeous!
I have to agree with the above poster...
sometimes I wonder why some cards are published too!
