Happy Wednesday! I can't believe tomorrow is Thanksgiving! And here I am with a Christmas card....should have planned better before this card was due I guess! LOL! We have a cute little DeNami stamp to share today! First off....here is my card...
I stamped the Small Pine Sprig image in white ink on the green paper until I got a garland look. Then I added some red rhinestones. I matted the main image with red cardstock embossed with a lattice embossing folder. I added one of my favorite holiday DeNami greetings and layered it on the card with foam tape.
You must check out the DeNami blog because the DT girls made some amazing cards with this cute little stamp! Stop over and check them out!
Thanks for coming by today! I want to wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving! I am thinking my blog might be kinda quiet for awhile here! Lots of people to see and food to eat! :) Tell me what you are doing for Thanksgiving this year! Can you believe we don't eat turkey anymore? GASP! I know! I got tired of making them! (Did I just admit that?) It's true! 2 years ago my husband was helping me and he said....why in the world do we go to all this trouble? This is too messy he said! I agreed! So this will be year 3 of a Mexican fiesta! We have chicken, Chipotle rice, black beans, quac and all the stuff to add on top and make it super yummy! I can't wait to see my family and my new little niece! AND I get to spend a crafty morning with several blog friends! YAY!!!
Again...happy thanksgiving!!
This will give you a laugh! I'm having Thanksgiving tomorrow for the first time...20 years of marriage and I've never hosted. We are tomorrow though and Pat said we could wait another 20 years. Christmas Brunch is my holiday for our family :) A Mexican Fiesta sounds great to me! I love your card Laurie...those gems make me happy! So gorgeous! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteLove this gorgeous card Laurie!!! Love how you stamped the sprig in white on the green card stock and added the gems! LOVER-LY!!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your Thanksgiving idea! I do love turkey but you are right - so much work and so messy. We had Thanksgiving back in Oct but my hubby is American so were hosting on Sat for him and a few American friends :)

ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful. Happy Thanksgiving. We are hosting for the first time in a long time, but my husband is doing everything (except the clean up). What a great idea to change the menu so you can just enjoy the day with your family. Happy Thanksgiving.

ReplyDeleteI totally agree about those huge meals and a Mexican fiesta sounds yummy! Enjoy your time with your family.
Love your card, as always! Gorgeous garland and love the accents of rhinestones. That is a pretty saying!
ReplyDeleteLuckily I live in a fabulous neighborhood. We are having an outdoor potluck party, traditional food. Best part is, I only have to make a handful of items, but can try a whole buffet of goodies!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
Absolutley gorgeous Laurie! You have such a flair. I love it. Happy Thanksgiving too! We Canadians already had ours, but I lived in the US for 11 years and remember well November Thanksgivings.
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty, Laurie! I love it!
ReplyDeleteI love your card! Adding the bling to the Pine Sprig turned them into lovely holly!
ReplyDeleteAs for Thanksgiving ... I've been married for 27-yrs and have never made a turkey. We always go to my in-laws ... my mother-in-law said she will host the holidays as long as she can, and she is in her 70's now. The family brings dessert and clean up after dinner so she doesn't have to.
I love your mexican theme holiday. Hope you have a marvelous Thanksgiving! ;o)
laurielll.. this is so simply adorable card, such a lovely thanksgiving card. You put less elements, but still looks stunning... Lauriel, what dies and embossing folder did you use here, I like it!
ReplyDeleteAnother beauty Laurie, the white embossing is so magical:)
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful time with all your family :)
