Paper Crafts March Gallery-Baby

I saw a post at the PC blog where the March "baby" challenge was still open, so I thought I would pull out my new gingham stamp and join in! I can pretty much tell already that I am going to LOVE this set! So here is my baby card....(check out the newly revised card at the bottom of this post!)

I popped up his little ear like I do every time I stamp him! For some reason I just can't leave him flat! :)  This is definitley a CAS sort of card!  I had a hard time with the 'flat' look of the top layer but it's growing on me!  That elephant is just the perfect little baby card addition!

This is it for today! Glad you stopped!  We are on Spring Break this week so we have lots of fun stuff going on!  We went to the Zoo yesterday!  We are having a picnic today with a Movie Night tonight!  Going to another Zoo tomorrow and bowling on Saturday!  We usually travel on Spring Break but with gas being STUPID high we are staying closer to home!  I am making sure we have lots of fun things to do while my dd is at home!

Hope you have a great day!

EDIT: So I got up and looked at this card and for some reason was not thrilled about the button up there at the top.  So I moved it!

Whadda ya think?

I am thinking I like version 2 better!  :)  Thanks for looking!

  4. Super sweet card Laurie - I love that little ellie on the gingham. Adorable idea for stamping the background gingham on both the card layers. Love that ;)

  9. I love them both!
    And your gingham is fabby...
    Love it!
It may take practice...but I'm so glad I got this set!
And how you "popped" his ear...
    really adds to it.
    Enjoy Spring break!
Note* was at Michael's yesterday...they don't have the metal pearls. I did see pewter ones though! But check out their new line of stickers...right down from the pearls and rhinestones...died!

  10. Laurie this is super cute! I love them both, but if I had to choose I think I like the first one the best. Although I can't really explain why!
I'm jealous of how clean your white cards always are. I always inevitably get a smudge on them somewhere. :)
Enjoy the rest of spring break. I wish I still had a spring break. If I did i'd have you plan it. :)

  18. This is so cute, Laurie! I'm really wishing I had got that gingham stamp now! I love how you used it on a baby card. I prefer the second version too. I've had that happen many times where I see something I want to change on a card after I see the photograph!

  21. You are way better at this than me, but I like version 2 better with the button on the bottom. Not sure why, but it adds a little something to the gingham. Sweet card. Gonna go stamp me some gingham right now!

  22. Great card, Laurie! I am in love with the little popped up ear. Adorable! I like the button in both places, to be honest. Then again, everything you do is magical!

  23. I thought the first card was good, but the second is even better. So cute! A lucky little baby will get that card--20 years later will see it in her baby book and be thankful her mom had such a creative friend.

  24. wow, love the gingham stamp, version two is better, I agree...

  25. This card is sweetness times ten. You did an incredible job stamping the gingham and the double layer of it is magical. My initial reaction was that I preferred the first card. When I looked at them in one screen on Flickr, my preference changed to the second. Do you think it has something to do with the triangle rule? The second card just looked more balanced to me.
Hope the weather is cooperating with all of your fun plans. Didn't you get snow in Kansas?

  27. Super cute! I do believe the button on the bottom looks better. Balances everything better placed down below.

  30. This is so cute! Love the elephant with his popped-up ear! :o) And although both versions are way cute, I agree that the second version is best of all :o)

  31. I keep flipping back and forth between them but can't decide on a favourite. I like them both. The first one makes me think of the sun in the sky for some reason... The popped up ear is too adorable!

  32. Super adorable!!! I love both versions of the card. CUTE!! CUTE!! CUTE!!

  33. Well miss Laurie....I prefer the first one. I just think the button toned the white down a bit and love that it's just ONE button! I really need to get a good baby set and the way you've been using this one has made it at the top of my list!
