Colour Q Challenge #70

OK so get this! I was just telling my friend Jen that I had NO mojo and hadn't made anything in over a week...my last several posts were scheduled! So today is a snow day and I have to keep us all entertained! I say my dd down here with me and she is making cards like crazy so I thought I better jump in and make something too! I had to find some mojo! So I started with a doily that I stamped on last week...and put to the side cuz I had NO idea what I was going to make with it....and then I grabbed some pink cardstock! Then I found my gigantic roll of white seam binding and a red copic marker and made some pretty red ribbon! THEN, I stamped some sheet music in Burnt Umber onto my pink cardstock...then you will never guess what happened!

I found this....

NO joke!  I only needed ONE more color and I had this week's Colour Q DONE!  What are the odds?  OK so I better show you the card....

I love this seam binding just for this reason!  That big ole white roll is going to last me forever and it just makes the most fun ribbon and bows!  (It doesn't look as red as it is in real life though!)

So that is it for today!  Pretty excited to make something and that it works for Arielle's gorgeous color combo this week!

I am off to cook some lunch for the kiddos!  Hope you are all staying warm today!  It is -15 wind chill here!  Brrr!

Have a great day!

  1. What a fun coincidence! Love this sweet card, Laurie! I've had no mojo at all lately either, so maybe it's the cold weather getting us down. You've inspired me to break out the Music Score stamp, since it is still uninked. Maybe that will help!

  6. I love the doily ...... I always want to play with them but then I think ........does that look right on me...... kinda like that trend of kitten shoes ...... not really for me the question is will I break down and try ...... probably not :) But I might try a doily ....... I mean it is not a huge investment and I could always send it to someone that it looks good on right?? This is such a fun card and I must have some seam binding like uhhhh NOW!!! Keep warm....... if you were here I would share me freshly made Russian Tea with you!!!

  30. First of all, I'm going to just start posting what I love MOST about your cards because you already know I love your stuff! :)You know what I love most about this card?.....the tiny little heart border stamped on the doily and those 3 little silver pearls. Which BTW, I'm not tired of! (what ARE we going to do now with no M's silver pearls???)
