My 6 year old comes home all the time talking about her teacher and how much she likes her! She also comes home every day, so much smarter than the last! And I have to be a little bias...she was pretty smart to begin with! She is a reader for sure and most of the time when faced with TV or a book, she picks the book! Cutie patootie! (insert big ole mommy grin here!)
So with this, I realize even more how we should show appreciation to our teachers! Here is a little thank you I made for her! I am sure she doesn't read my blog, so I am thinking we are safe! If not...don't look Mrs. Burkhart! :)
I love love that ruler impressed with the woodgrain plate! So fun!
So now, go make your teachers a note! She does so much for us and I hope she knows how much we appreciate her!
Have a great day!
I should just NOT look...

Oh I wish my students had fabulously talented cardmakers as paretns!!! This card is so sweet and I adore the wooden ruler too!
ReplyDeleteI can't complain too much though...the parents often load us with chocolates at this time of year and who am I to complain about that?! LOL!

ReplyDeleteRuler looks so real, Laurie! Love the background of the card as well. Beautiful card!
ReplyDeleteNot only is that a gorgeous card (that woodgrain ruler is a stroke of genius!), but you are a kind person to send in an appreciation that is *just because* You would be shocked to read the abusive emails teachers get from parents these days--so sending in something positive is so needed and kind.
ReplyDeleteVery creative card. The ruler looks like it is real wood. I think it is wonderful that you are thanking the teacher "just because."
