I have had a major case of "stampers block" lately! All the cards that I posted in the last week or so were completed (for the most part) a couple weeks ago! I actually haven't sat down to stamp now for quite awhile! When I do sit down, I just stare at my table! Does this happen to you? So I started this card last week. And I finished it today! Yeah! Finally!
I have to tell you before you see it, I got the inspiration for this card from the pillows (please don't laugh at me!) on the couches they use, on the show "Bachelor Pad". This basically means I am admitting to watch this show. Yes it is a waste of time. And yes I do love it. There. Said it. Here is my card.
I am in love with this Dear Lizzy rose ribbon. So much in fact that I hoard it. Yes, I also have a shelf of candles that have never been lit either. I am trying to get better about hoarding.
Thanks for letting me tell you my little secrets. I am working through it really. I am already feeling so much better! :)
Supplies for Amy again.... :)
Stamps: Verve Happy Hello, PTI Background Basics Retro
Paper: PTI Ocean Tides, Dark Chocolate, Rustic Cream
Ink: Versamagic Java Jumbo
Misc: Dear Lizzy rose ribbon, Pearls, Mat Stack Die
This is lovely, Laurie. I love the colors and that ribbon and flowers are crazy cute! Great colors, too!
ReplyDeleteI do get stampers block every now and then. It's pretty frustrating, that's for sure. You'll get past it, though, cause you're uber talented. :)
Well your mojo is alive and kickin' girlie! This is FABULOUS! Oh how I love that ribbon too (as well as your source of inspiration LOL!)

ReplyDeleteWell I don't know anything about that show, but this card is AWESOME! Your mojo seems to be working fine girl, who are you kidding?! *smile*
ReplyDeleteYou are too funny! I will never judge anyone's TV viewing, as I was known several years ago to be obsessed with "America's Next Top Model". Sometimes it's the guilty pleasures that get us through the day. *wink*
ReplyDeleteAs for your card, I'd never guess that you had no mojo! It is so elegant, with perfect stamping. I love the negative space you used to house the sentiment and the trio of pearls!
Love this! I hoard my Dear Lizzy ribbon too. I have three colors of it and have barely used just one color. I think most crafter hoard the "pretty" stuff - so we are not alone! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd how pretty it is!
ReplyDeleteSoooo pretty! I love those colors together, but I don't think that I ever would've tried. Just gorgeous! Oh! And shhhh, but I watch "that show" too! Totally addicted! Shhhh!

ReplyDeleteTotally love the card! But how funny is this? I have starred at that couch for weeks. I keep thinking how much it looks like PTI, as I do not own that set. I thought I was nuts because I was comparing the couch to PTI. :) I guess great minds do thick alike. :)

ReplyDeleteLaurie, I don't see any evidence what-so-ever of stampers block showing on this card. And, as for hording, well I think we all so that with favorite things, and we eventually let them go/use them. just so that you know, with this ribbon I completely understand. It was lovely of you to share it with us.
