First of all, if I am in your google reader you have probably already seen this because blogger decided that it had to post right away yesterday while I was uploading pictures! :) Auugghh! (OK so I am sure it was operator error!)
I am here today with two Papertrey Paperdolls Challenges! The first is Anika's. Her challenge was to find inspiration in a food wrapper! I found so much inspiration that after I made the card, I also made the brownies! You can see the open box in the picture....YUM!
The next Challenge is from Michelle! That was to ink up a set that hadn't been inked before and to use a brand new product! I have never used Scarlet Jewel before and I JUST got my CHA set in the mail! When I got to CHA they were out of the free set! So here is my first card using my new set!
To the Dolls: I am so sorry I haven't been participating in the last few challenges! It has been crazy around here! I plan on catching up!
Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you all have a great day!
Okay here is the funny thing ....... I saw this card somehow yesterday ....... and then it disappeared and I thought I was seeing things and now here it is again this morning!!! Yep brownies make me smile and the colors are perfect!!! Lord I love that CHA set ......
ReplyDeleteOh this is beautiful! I love the colors together and the panel size gives the card so much visual interest. I'll say again that I must learn to stitch on cards cause I think it adds a ton to the finished product. Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteGreat card Laurie! I love this set too and you did a great job with it. Funny, Scarlet Jewel isn't a color I go to a lot, but I might have to give it a go!
ReplyDeleteLove all the visual interests from the stitching to the ribbon, great card and how much fun the brownies were used for inspiration - yum!!!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute! I am totally jealous you got that set. I didn't get to go and people are selling that set for a crazy price on ebay. :)
ReplyDeleteLaurie Beth, you are so good at balancing colors on your cards. I love how your card turned out. I especially like the ribbon treatment you used. Very creative!
ReplyDeleteWI love your card, and does make me happy! The brownies to..!! I love the ribbon and those 3 pearls are just perfection, lovely attention to every detail, thanks for the inspiration!!
ReplyDeleteThis card just "makes me smile" just like that Uncle Kracker song!! Really pretty card Laurie and you did such a good job with this challenge!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I love the sewing around the edges and the unique way you used the ribbon.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you had to wait so long for your free CHA set!! That being said, I, too, have yet to ink this baby up. I must rectify immediately!!
ReplyDeleteLaurie, you look at the brownie box and are inspired to make a lovely card that while clearly influenced by the box, is also lovely in its own right. I, on the other hand, would look at the box, become distracted by the picture of the brownies and then go on my merry way, forgetting why I pulled the box out to begin with! :-D
ReplyDeleteACK!!! Fantastic card! LOVE the layout! Wish I had been able to get this set! Wonderful, Laurie!
ReplyDeleteGreat interpretation of the inspiration piece. I love how you let the scarlet jewel shine!
