hello...

I am happy to be here today with a card for no reason other than....it's just a card.  No challenge attached or anything!  I feel like life has been so insane the last few months, that I rarely get to sit down "just because".  So I made this card the other day and wanted to share.  I have seen so many people doing this little coloring technique with this stamp set and I loved it so much I had to try it too!  So thanks blog friends, for the inspiration!  Here is my card...

hello

The blue centers are much softer looking in real life.  I love the little pop it gives the image though.  I pulled out my text background too. There are lots of sets I really need to be dusting off!

So we survived the tornado's last night.  There were 90 tornado's in Kansas last night.  It was CRAZY!!  We pretty much had the news on all day waiting to hear that we needed to get in the basement.  And all day we saw that the storms were on either side of us.  I am so thankful today that we were safe and am praying for all of those who were injured,  lost homes or had damaged property of any kind!  We really take for granted, so many things in our lives and I praise God for the safety of my friends and family!

I hope you all have a blessed Sunday! Thanks for stopping in!

  21. I've never been in sight of a tornado, but the idea of them truly terrifies me. So glad your outcome was stable.

I have this set ordered, and I'm really looking forward to using it. I have no sewing skills, so this may be the closest I get to achieving any kind of stitched look with my cards! My coloring skills are extremely limited, so I'll have to look at this more closely on my larger monitor to try and figure out how you may have done this.

It's lovely, as always, and I'm glad to hear that you indulged in some "just because" craft time. Thank you again for your wonderful inspiration!
