CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #30

Welcome to another CAS-ual Fridays!  We have a fun one this week!  It's a Tic Tac Toe Challenge!  I love these!  So many fun options!  I chose Green, Kraft and Chevrons!

I have a friend who asked for a card to send to a family member in the military.  What a perfect combo for this type of card!  She wanted it CAS, a guy type card and easy to mail.  I am thinking that this works out pretty well...

I made the Chevron using my Cricut out of Paper Temptress's Green Crepe Ruche Paper.  It has the coolest texture!  The card base is Speckled Kraft, also from Paper Temptress.  I added a "miss you" sentiment from PTI to finish off my CAS card.

Our sponsor this week, Paper Temptress, gave us a little sample of some gorgeous cardstock and papers.  Click HERE to check them out for yourself.  Check back to the CAS-ual blog to see more samples and to see this weeks Paper Temptress prize!

I have to share a couple FUN things about my week!  I spent Thanksgiving with my sister in Colorado and finally got to see that new little niece of mine!

Another highlight of the week was getting to meet Michele and Laura from CAS-ual Fridays in person!   I also got to meet Lisa Petrella who is on my team over at DeNami and also a fellow World Card Making day winner!  Here is a picture of us together at Archivers!  We got to have a couple hours of crafty time!

And that is not all!  I got to meet Tenia too! And Alyssa Scritchfield, another WCMD winner!

Fun right?  It was a packed week!  I even got to go to Ikea.  I am sure I am the last one to get to go see this amazing place, so all of you might know what I am saying when I say WOW!  I want to live there really!  Sadly there was not enough room in the car to take home what I wanted.  But let me tell you.  Trip #2 is planned and a bigger vehicle is already in order!  That place is amazing and I have my list made!  I did get several small things for my craft space and can't wait to get those put up!  I will share when I get some pics taken!

The organizing going on in that place was like a little piece of heaven!  LOVE!

Ok, I better stop chatting now!  I am already posting this!  I hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving!  Thanks so much for coming by!  Have a great weekend!

A great masculine CAS! Very apropriate card that I'm sure your friend will ove. And your week... sounds like it was a lot of fun. I too love IKEA! Unfortunately now that I live in Victoria there isn't one here. In Calgary I could go whenever I wanted to. Really miss that convenience. Have fun with your next trip there.

Looks like you had a lot of fun crafty time!

I've never been to ikea and everytime we pass it going out of town (it's about 2 hours away) I say next time I'm going but I'm either in a hurry to get where I'm going or too tired and just want to get home or it's late late at night! Thanks for sharing the photo!

What a fun card -- I think it would be fun to do that with the PTI ric-rac die cuts, maybe using several different (bright) colors on a white base.... I appreciate the inspiration!

Speaking of inspiration, I'm glad that you were able to get to Ikea. I have two pieces from their Alex line that I use for craft supplies, and they are absolutely terrific!

Your card today is awesome, your neice is adorable, trip sounded fantastic. Oh and yes IKEA is a wonderful place. This link is a 53 second movie shot by a fellow Canadian that was put up on You Tube 3 years ago--for a laugh. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GW-22LziZDQ

The baby is so adorable and I am jealous of your trip to meet everyone!!! Are the storage solutions at Ikea better than the Jetmax stuff that Michael's sells?

Also, love that shade of green with the kraft on that card, friend! CAS perfectly!

Love the card.... gotta love that rick-rack :-).

Sigh as for IKEA, LOVE LOVE LOVE that place and yes, been known to take the SUV and do an 8 hr drive just to go to IKEA. I wish one would open up in KC or even in St. Louis.
Or better yet, let's rent a UHaul.... lol I'm in :-).
