Giving the vintage look a shot....and 2S4Y55

I am loving 2 Sketches 4 You!  They have some great sketches that help with the mojo for sure!  Here is Laura's fabulous sketch #55!

So, I am not good at "vintage-y" look but I thought I would give it a try!  I found this tag at a local store and had to buy several of them!  :)  That was kinda the inspiration for my card along with this adorable sketch!  I thought even though I am kinda reaching on the sketch it still gave the same look!  I hope?  hehe!

PTI June Blog Hop

Welcome to PTI's June Blog Hop!  Here is the criteria for this month...

"This month we thought it would be fun to focus on COLOR! We want to see your favorite Papertrey color schemes put to work. Be sure to post the color scheme near the top of your post in bold letters so everyone can collect them to use as a future reference! With everyone's different takes on combinations from the Papertrey spectrum, we will surely build an amazing resource that we can all utilize and fall in love with some new favorite color schemes!"

When I saw this, I knew exactly what colors I wanted to use!  Here is my color combo...Looks kinda CRAZY doesn't it? How in the world do I pull this off right?   Yep!  7 colors and white of course!

Here is my inspiration piece!  This is a camera strap I made recently!  When I saw the fabric I knew each color was PTI for sure!

So here is my card...

I love how the leaves look so much like the ones on the camera strap!  I would have never pulled this color combo together without that fabric!  I have said before I am a "monochormatic" girl so this was a great challenge for me!

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you find some fabulous color combos out there on the blog hop tonight!

"The one where I used more than ONE color..."

Hang on to your seats!  I actually tried to use an acutal Color combo on this one!  I know I was really reaching right?  LOL!  So many people have used the Pure Poppy/Hawiian Shores combo and I just love it!  So I added in a little yellow just so I could say I used 3 colors!

One fun little tip for today!  If you center the Argyle stamp on your A2 card base, you have 1/2" left on each side!  If you own a Scor-Pal you can line up your card and score at 1/2" and its a perfect border for this background stamp!

You will have to let me know what you think!  Thanks for looking!

Happy Birthday to YOU!

I love Melissa's new set, All About You!  This is an amazing set for scrapbookers and cards makers!  So versatile this way!  I started scrapbooking in 1998 and have only been making cards for about 3 years!  I love to see this potential in stamps!  To be able to use them on cards and pages both, is really nice!  Stay tuned for a layout using this set!  SO, here is my card for today...

I found this felt flower at CKC last year!  Luckily, I got them in 3 colors.  BUT, where I can find more?  Do they look familiar to anyone?  Haven't seen them since that trip to KC!  I sure do love them!

Anyway, thanks for coming by today!  Hope its a good one!

Just for You

Well, like I said yesterday...when my PTI box came, I couldn't stop playing!  When you are in a rut, new stuff really helps!  :)  Here is another new card using All About You and the tea addition set!  Love them both!

My friend Jen told me the lemons would fit in the scallops!  Boy was she right!  They are perfect for the medium scallop die!  I love it! (After talking with her tonight, she said that she saw this on one of Betsy's cards!)  Such a fun idea!

I was really excited to see Fillable Frames #5.  I got the die and kept digging through the box...found the label....kept digging....NO stamp set!  Looked at the invoice and I forgot it!  So all my friends who told me to make a list.....next month I am making a list!  :)

And one more with that lemon....another CAS!

Here is a fun find today with the lemon!  When you stamp it like this, a 1" Marvy circle punch fits perfectly!

Thanks for coming by!  Have a great day!

PTI Party!

It is always a PTI Party when a package comes in the mail!  I ordered at 11:05pm CST on the 14th and here in my mailbox was a box!  Just for me!  Talk about fast shipping!  And inside was the Moroccan Impression Plate!  OMG!  I am in LOVE!

I am pretty sure I will be using this one ALOT!  Let me know what you think!  Did you get your orders yet?  Can't wait to see some June release creations!

Super CAS Lawn Fawn!

I just love the little cupcake image from the Bake Me a Cake set.  But when I stamped the top I kept seeing Ice Cream.  SO, I took the cupcake bottom and made my own cone!  Here are a couple very CAS cards using my homemade Ice Cream cone!  I thought with the simplicity of these, they would make a fun pack of note cards!

I colored this Ice Cream using the Pure Poppy Copic Trio.  It matches up really well with Berry Sorbet!

This adorable little "Thank You" was included in my Lawn Fawn order! Isn't it cute?

Thanks for coming by today!  Hope you have a great day!

Supplies:

Stamps: Lawn Fawn Bake Me a Cake and PTI Signature Greetings
Paper: PTI Berry Sorbet and Lemon Tart
Ink: PTI True Black and Memento
Misc: Pure Poppy Copic Trio, Prisma Colored Pencils and OMS

Bake me a Cake and 2S4Y54

EDIT: OMG!  My card made Fab 5 over at 2S4Y!  Yeah!  Thank you so much for picking my card!

OK I don't know about you...but I love this new Lawn Fawn- Bake me a Cake set!  You can do really any kind of cake and I just love that!  I am sparing you the piles of other cards I made upon receiving this set and just showing you my favorite!  This card is also inspired by 2S4Y!
Here is this weeks sketch...

Don't judge me on the Copic coloring here....still learning!  ;)

I have also come to terms with the fact that I am a monochromatic girl!  I try to incorporate color, succeeding sometimes, but really just using multiple shades of that one color!  I am OK with it for now!  I am going to try harder!  :)

I was just thrilled to get this set in the mail yesterday!  Talk about FAST shipping!  Lawn Fawn is amazing!!  The only crummy thing about this online order from Lawn Fawn.....I forgot to add in Harold's ABC's!  *sniff sniff*

Make it a great day!

Adoption Wishes

I have a very good friend who has recently adopted 2 more kiddos (she already has one at home!)  She is an amazing person with a HUGE heart and is one of my closest friends!  I am late on getting these cards to her but I have them  planned in my head for awhile so I was finally able to sit down and make them!

This first one is for Mac!  He is all John Deere so I thought a card in New Leaf would be perfect!  So here is the first one....(the ribbon treatment was inspired by Dana from one of her recent cards!)

This next card is for little Abby!  Not quite a baby anymore but just had to use this onsie!  Actually, the onsie is the whole reason I HAD to have this set!

Thanks for looking today!  Hope its a great Monday!

Ted's Challenge

Today I am here with a card I made for Ted's challenge!  It was a hard combo for me, although red is my favorite color!  The trick was to add yellow and orange.  I got the yellow in there but I am just not good with orange....have I said that before?  :)

So here it is!  I hope that I followed the challenge rules ok!  Hope you are having a great day!

Always carry laughter...

EDIT:  Thanks to Savannah for leaving a comment on this post and letting me know that my card matches the color combo for The Play Date Cafe!  This is my first time visiting this site and I know I will be back again!  Thanks again Savannah!

Here today with another new stamp!  I saw this sentiment and LOVED it!  I knew I had to add it to my stash!

In real life the rhinestones match the ribbon too!  Here they are lookin alot on the pink side!  Off to VBS!

Have a great day!
