New Magalogue Samples!

My sister came to visit me this week so we have been playing with my new stamps! Yeah! Of course, I wanted tons of stamps! But I narrowed it down to just a few!

On a little quick side note.....this post right here, with this card and scrapbook page.....I DID WIN THIS CONTEST! I was just looking a month ahead and I thought I didn't win! SO, I was able to get some free stamps!

So here is the first one.....Just a a quick and easy fun one! I used TAC's new Fishy Friends for this one, a little chalk ink, some black paper, ink and ribbon for some pop....and there you have a fun ,easy card! (Sorry for the bad pics! The color isn't the best!)

Another new set.....Showers of Love! So cute for Baby Showers or Bridal showers or just "Wishing You" type cards! I used markers to color the stamp this time! It gave it kind of a distressed look!

Jen Carter and I had our Magalogue Open House last weekend and we each made 2 Make-N-Takes. I made a 6x6 Scrapbook page with the new Cupcakes set! I {heart} Cupcakes! This set is such a fun one to color!

This is my secone Make-N-Take. I made a box that I found on PT! The inside is stamped with the new Graphic Blooms set! So easy and so much fun! Love that Scor-Pal!

And Stephanie!! She maid this one! I had no idea what she was doing and then she turned to me and said, "Do you like this card?" WOW! So cute!! This is another super fun set, Today and Forever! Didn't she do a great job??!?

This card also uses our new Scalloped DCWV Cardstock! I love that stuff!!

Well, thanks for looking! Remember if you see any sets here that you like, just shoot me an email and I can get you set up with some new stamps! So much fun!

Heather's Monday Sketch...on Wednesday! :0)

So this week I went over to Heather's Blog to check out her sketch and I thought it was so cute! I had to play! So I made a card....then another.....then another! I kinda got carried away! But it was a really fun sketch!

I didn't make the cards with the exact diminsions but I thought they were close enough!

For the first card, I used Squiggle Lady Bugs from TAC, of course! The paper is their fabulous Scarlet red!

Then I used a button/ribbon idea I saw this morning on Mish's blog! So cute!

With this next card, as you can tell, I was really feelin' the lady bugs so I just keep going with it! This is a new set for me and I think it is just too cute! On this one I also used the new Scalloped paper from the TAC magalogue! It is so much fun!

This next one is kinda a favorite of mine! I love this little cowboy! Another TAC set called Wild West!

The crimped paper with this set was inspired by THIS post from way back when! I think these cards on Jen's blog were the first cards I had ever seen using TAC stamps (and she won Terrific Trio contest with them)! And they have stuck in my mind all this time! So, now that I have this set I had to make some of my own creations with a little inspiration from her!

Well, thanks Heather for the cute sketch! Thanks for looking!

Card to Crop

I made a card recently for a color challenge and I had so much fun with it, I decided to make a scrapbook page to match! Jennifer and I got to talking about this and she decided to do the same thing and post it on her blog! You can see her "Card to Crop" here!

Here is the 6x6 scrapbook page.....

and the card I started with for the color challenge....

I got the inspiration for this from a PTI blog. I can't remember where it was but I know it was PTI! Basically, I took a 5x5 block and attached letters from the TAC Kinder-Bet set all over the block.
For the card, I stamped with Noir Palette, the red cs, matted it with black and attached it to the gray card. Added pop dots to the "Hi", with some ribbon and there you have a super easy and cute card! The for the scrapbook page....
Then I stamped the Gray CS with the Versamarked letters. I used black embossing powder and heat embossing the letters. It is such a great look on a scrapbook page and so easy to do! (I used the X-Static bag on the cardstock first! It helps all the little pieces of embossing powder not to stick! It definitley makes it look cleaner!)

I added a red strip across the middle and then used TAC's Mini-Bet for the words "School Days". I added pop dots to that just to make it stand out at the bottom. I also matted the picture with black CS and added some black saddle stitch ribbon around the middle!

Next, I used Mini-Bet again on a 2x2 block, using the same technique I did with the larger alphabet. I stamped 2 blocks of letters on white CS.

I took the Marvy flower punch and made 2 small flowers to add to the page! I also used a sponge to ink around the edges and then added a red brad for the center!

So, there you have my card to crop! I love this technique! It was so easy and I can see how different alphabets can give such different results! Great for school pages!

Thanks for looking! Don't forget to tell me what you think!
